Democratization of Climate News

Collecting personal stories from people on the frontline of the effects of climate change and working together to protect the environment to effect positive change. This megaphone of voices will reach the ears and tug at the hearts of government officials to once and for all address the adverse effects of climate change that have weakened the very ground under these communities. My Climate Change Story is initiated by the International Association of Women in Radio and Television USA (lAWRT USA), along with IAWRT Philippines.

Cellphone technology is highly accessible for a great many people globally. IAWRT USA, along with IAWRT Philippines, is training female journalists and community activists in the skills needed to produce short documentaries using cellphones. Thus far, we have held 3 training sessions online for training of trainers to further teach others. Online has enabled a global reach. We are now beginning to hold real-world boot camp training beginning with Sierra Leone and Tanzania in Africa.
